Welcome to Doodle Dance…

We believe that dance, movement, play and the arts can play a big part in creating a more sustainable world and in doing so support children and their supportive adults.

The values of being kind to ourselves, each other and the planet underpins our approach of delivery as well as how we run our business. For more more information on how we are using Ecologi to support our business being sustainable and to contribute to our Make Your Mark Forest follow the link

Our work is designed through listening to the needs of participating children and the teachers, parents, carers and other organisations who are also supporting them.

Creativity, ownership and adaptability gives children the opportunity to find their unique expressive voice and learn skills that enable them to develop their own wellbeing. We believe in collaborating and creating an inclusive nurturing world where curiosity, discovery, research and reflection can fuel learning.

Our team of artists create creative dance, arts and play experiences, offering this to children through providing workshops, series, resources and delivery to our communities of parents, carers, nursery workers, teachers and artists.

Our work supports children to explore movement, mark making, storytelling, drawing, voice and more. We enable children to share their ideas,  learning and creativity with others and in doing so,

They can… ‘Make Their Mark!’

"We are thrilled to work with such a brilliant practitioner. Jo is totally in tune with our children’s needs and plans a wide variety of fun and interactive activities to move their skills on. We have seen the benefits from her weekly sessions and we couldn’t recommend her highly enough."

Doodle Dance believes in creativity being at the heart of the curriculum. Whether it’s sparking children’s creative curiosity with our 'Curriculum Ignition Workshops' or supporting key stage 1 in their Mark Making journey we enable children to learn through movement and their imagination whilst expressing their own ideas. ‘Get Set Go!’ will maintain and embed cross curriculum learning whilst ‘Dancing in the Rain’ will educate and support them in mental wellbeing. All of our work provides PE whilst delivering literacy and cross curriculum. Artist Development

Artist Development

Doodle Dance has allowed artists to come together. Jo Cone, founder of Doodle Dance, recognises the breadth of work that an independent artist has to do to maintain and nurture a career in the arts. Therefore she wanted each piece of work to not only benefit the participants but have the potential to support other artists and in turn reach more children.
